Admission FAQs

Yes, KWS recommends Google Chrome as an efficient browser.   It is better to  use a desktop or laptop and not to use any mobile device for online registration to avoid error in data entry.

Please follow the steps below in sequence to register online for admission:

  • Carefully read all the procedural steps below for online admission.
  • Click on Sample Registration Form for reference to get an idea of the filled in online registration form.
  • Fill in your online Registration Form with the required specific data of the candidate seeking admission and both parents.
  • Check and correct any error in data and spellings before submission. The details submitted online are final and no correction will be allowed later.
  • Click <<submit>> after checking filled in form.
  • After filling in and submitting the online registration form you will get an Email with the Date and Time of  Kanasu Learning Adventure (KLA) / Kanasu Student Aptitude Test (K-SAT) and the complete list of documents for submission to KWS on that date.  Self-attested physical copies of these should be  submitted to KWS during Admission Session-1.

No.  Requests for updation of submitted registration form will go unanswered.  Please ensure that all textual spelling and numbers are correctly entered as per the documents submitted to KWS at the time of Admission Session-1.  Once entered at the time of registration, name, date of birth, etc. cannot be changed later under any circumstances. 

No. Do not upload any documents.

Original documents for verification and self-attested photocopies of  the complete list of necessary documents should be submitted  to KWS at Admission Session-1.

After successful submission of Registration form, you will be notified of the Date and Time of your Kanasu Learning Adventure (KLA) / Kanasu Student Aptitude Test (K-SAT) with the complete list of documents for submission and other relevant information details for the same, via SMS and Email.   

  • Check your email ID’s Spam/Junk box.
  • Check that you filled in the correct email ID and mobile number in the Form.
  • If you still find no SMS/Email, then you should apply for the same with all the following details in sequence to admissions@kwssurat.in:
  1. Registration Form No. (if noted)
  2. Name of the Candidate
  3. Date of Birth
  4. Parent’s Name
  5. Class Applied For 
  6. Date of online Form submission 
  7. Mobile Number

If you register for a second time without waiting for Email/SMS confirmation, then the second registration will automatically be cancelled.

Yes.  Please refer to Age Criteria at www.kwssurat.in which, as per prescribed norms are strictly followed.  The difference of even a single day, especially for Nursery, LKG, UKG, Class I, will not be considered.  This ensures equality in admission criteria.

Yes.  The distance of your residence from KWS, any sibling already studying in KWS, girl candidate, etc., are parameters included in considering admission.

  1. After filling in and submitting the online registration form you will get an Email with the Date and Time of Kanasu Learning Adventure (KLA) / Kanasu Student Aptitude Test (K-SAT) and the complete list of documents for submission to KWS on that date.
  2. Candidates seeking admission to Nursery, LKG, UKG and Class 1 should attend Kanasu Learning Adventure (KLA) on campus with both parents on the date and time notified to you, with all the necessary documents specified for submission. Candidates applying for admission to Nursery, LKG, UKG and Class 1 will attend a single admission session with both parents.
  3. Candidates seeking admission to Classes 2 and above will first attend a written interaction in the Kanasu Student Aptitude Test (K-SAT), Session-1 on campus with both parents.  If shortlisted for the oral interaction in Round-2, they will be duly intimated of the date of K-SAT Session-2.  Both parents and  candidate must attend K-SAT Session-2  on campus to complete the admission procedure.

Yes.  For a fair and equitable admission procedure, it is mandatory for the candidate seeking admission to attend the KLA  / K-SAT on campus with both parents.  

At KWS, parents play a significant role in the Learning Partnership between school and home.  It is therefore necessary for both parents to be present at the KLA / K-SAT Sessions. In case this is not possible, prior intimation should be given to school via email to admissions@kwssurat.in.

Yes, KWS follows all prescribed standard norms of child safety on campus but please do not leave your child unsupervised at the time when s/he is not with the KWS teacher.

Before registering, parents may visit KWS during working days and hours by prior telephonic appointment.   During KLA / K-SAT, parents will be taken on a guided tour of key areas on campus.

Note: Parents must follow KWS regulations while on campus.

The Original documents for verification with self-attested photocopies for submission to KWS should be brought on the date of KLA / K-SAT-1.  All original  documents (except School Leaving or Transfer Certificate) will be returned to  you on the same date. 

List of Documents to Submit for Admission to Nursery, LKG, UKG & Class 1:

  • Printout of Registration Acknowledgement Slip received via email attachment. 
  • Birth Certificate of Candidate seeking admission issued by the Municipal Corporation with correct names of the candidate and parents. Birth Certificates issued by doctors, nursing homes and hospitals, or affidavits will not be accepted.
  • Aadhar Cards of candidate, father, mother. If candidate’s Aadhar Card issue is pending, then Aadhar Card Enrolment Receipt must be submitted.
  • Address Proof in the form of any one of these documents in the name of one parent may be submitted: Voter ID Card / Passport / Driving License / Bank Passbook / Ration Card / Electricity bill / Telephone bill / Gas Bill / LIC Policy / Vera House Tax, if your residential address entered in the online registration form is not the same as in Aadhar Card.
  • 4 current-age passport-size colour photographs of candidate, father, mother (total 12 photographs).
  • Bonafide Certificate on school letterhead, stating name, date of birth, Caste/Minority status (if applicable) and attendance record of candidate along with full names of candidate and both parents.                
  • No Fee Dues Certificate from previous school to be submitted at the time of admission.
  • Last issued Report Card of the current academic session in the present class candidate is studying in.   Candidate seeking admission to UKG and above may undertake to submit at the time of admission, a self-attested photocopy of the Annual Promotion Report Card stating promotion to the class for which admission is sought.                                
  • Candidate seeking admission in UKG and above may undertake to submit at the time of admission or before the date of joining, School Leaving Certificate (SLC) issued by  previous school, stating promotion to the class for which admission is sought, no-dues, etc. in established standard format.  Please check before submission that all data and spellings on the SLC are correct as submitted to KWS for admission.

List of Documents to Submit for Admission to Classes 2-12:

  • Printout of Registration Acknowledgement Slip received via email attachment.

  • Last issued Report Card of the previous class and of the present classof the  candidate in the current academic session.   Candidate seeking admission to UKG and above may undertake to submit at the time of admission, a self-attested photocopy of the Annual Promotion Report Card stating promotion to the class for which admission is sought.                     
  • Candidate seeking admission in Classes 2 and above may undertake to submit at the time of admission or before the date of joining, a  Transfer Certificate(TC) counter-signed by the relevant (non-CBSE) Education Board/DEO, stating promotion to the class for which admission is sought, no-dues, etc. in established standard format.  No  attestation is required for TC from a bona fide CBSE affiliated school.  Please check before submission that all data and spellings on the TC are correct as submitted to KWS for admission.

No extension in documents submission date is allowed, excepting Transfer Certificate,  No Dues and Promotion Report Card of the current class.  These documents should be submitted either on the date of admission or before the date of joining. The Registration of the candidate will be summarily cancelled due to incomplete submission of documents.

The SLC/TC of candidates seeking admission to UKG and above must be submitted before the start of the new Academic Session. Provisional Admission granted will be cancelled if SLC/TC is not submitted on time.

Yes, a standardised Medical Test Report is mandatory from a hospital approved by KWS, details of which will be provided at the time of declaration of the admission result.

No.   Only the documents explicitly stated in the KWS documents submission list will be accepted.

The KWS buildings are centrally air conditioned to help students  deal with the heat and humidity of Surat climate.

KWS provides one vegetarian meal (with Jain option) during the day as an optional facility for students.   It is suggested however, that students from Nursery to Class 2 opt for the school meal facility as a learning experience.

KWS provides optional Bus/Van facility outsourced to transport contractors.  The optional bus facility, once availed, must be continued until the end of the academic year.
